Position Overview
The incumbent in this role is responsible for substantially contributing to the growth of RWA2 business unit through the incumbent’s leadership of the European Real World Evidence (RWE) team.
Specifically, as the European Head of RWE, working closely with Business Unit Leader, the incumbent:

Manages a European RWE team leveraging regional VPs and support from RWAA business operations. Has decision rights related to the following areas:
- Team structure, hiring, firing
- Product pricing
- Delivers on European RWE targets as measured by new business awards and contribution margin
- In collaboration with RWAA business development team, managing key client relationships in RWE via RWE leadership and selected senior consultants

Drives RWE and contributes to RWAA methods development:
- Sets the European RWE research agenda, including development of research ideas to be prioritized during conferences
- Key executive contributor to Cytel Design Institute, accountable for execution of relevant activities
- Develops and implement a growth strategy for RWE solutions consistent with Cytel’s advanced analytics positioning.
- Key contributor to M&A activities relevant to RWAA business unit (target identification, due diligence, integration)
- As a member of senior leadership, contribute to the development of the annual operational plan for the business unit
- Identify strategic and creative methods for developing relationships with clients
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to appropriate industry events, consortia, publications, and other venues
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD or Master’s degree with significant related experience. Previous experience in consultancy environment highly desirable. Location in Germany or knowledge of German RWE environment beneficial.
- Understanding of relevant approaches and solutions in the area of expertise with excellent ability to communicate the value of these in client environment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and decision-making skills necessary to evaluate, plan and accomplish multiple work goals in a timely fashion.
- Able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills and procedures.
- Proactive and positive approach to problem solving, as well as resilience when encountering process, project, budget or client changes that are inherent in the consulting environment.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to quickly develop and sustain positive rapport with internal and external contacts in person, over the phone and by email.
- Experience presenting ideas to individuals and groups in a formal presentation setting
- Able to analyze complex issues and evidence, identify cause-effect relationships, and generate effective solutions
- Delivers a positive internal/external client experience; listens and understand the client's needs, and recommends solutions
- Demonstrates sound professional judgment in analyzing, responding to, and resolving enquiries, issues and escalations.
