Outokumpu is looking for a Technical Sales Manager for Quarto Plate to our Business Line Advances Materials Sales Team.
In this challenging and dynamic role you will be able to work internationally, build your network within Outokumpu as well as with our customers, end users, engineering companies and other influencers. You will interact with many different departments such as Operations, Supply Chain Management, Product Management, Technical Market Development, Legal & Marketing.
Your role
- Provide technical and commercial advice to key customers in various industry Outokumpu`s stainless steel and nickel alloy products, focusing on Quarto Plate
- Be the primary technical contact for major clients to maintain and develop a profitable business for BL Advanced Materials
- Deal with specific technical sales requests for our Quarto Plate factory in Degerfors, Sweden
- Act on behalf of Outokumpu to develop technical relationships and resolve customer claims
- Support mills to process claims for complex cases
- Monitor technical specifications and liaise with plant technical teams
- Support the maintenance of technical documentation and corporate presentations
- Develop and maintain nominated accounts by communicating the latest Outokumpu business strategy aligned with the Advanced Materials segments
- Maintain outreach to external stakeholders through meetings, tours, and trade shows, including frequent international travel
- Acquire extensive product and customer knowledge to discuss and inform internal and customer developments and support new product development initiatives
- Manage and execute projects within your area of responsibility
About you
- Technical education at university level, preferably in the field of metallurgy or materials sciences OR at least some years professional experience in a technical commercial role
- Technical knowledge of stainless-steel production and relevant standards, preferably Quarto Plate production
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Experience with project management is a plus
- Solid analytical skills and confidence in decision making
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Willing to travel, mostly in Europe
- Fluent in both written and oral English

You will be located in one of Outokumpu European locations with frequent international travel requirements. In this role you will report to the Head of QP Sales, Bernd Beckers.
