Your scope
  • Build and establish the Supply Chain Function for SAC CDMO business. The CDMO model is currently in its build-up phase and need to be rapidly developed to support the ambitious growth targets
  • Lead a small team of Supply Chain Managers responsible for the supply chain activities for 5 SAC manufacturing sites, together with inter-company supply from LS ISCO sites and Electronics
  • Establish supply chain processes and best practices for cross-site client programs, specifically in the mRNA and ADC space.
  • Develop and own new leading metrics which generate an early warning system and leads to improved customer experience
  • Responsible for ensuring overall alignment between the demand plan / pipeline and relevant capacity planning across all manufacturing sites
  • Responsible for consolidation of production scheduling work across all manufacturing sites.
  • Responsible for developing the supplier risk program. The team is responsible for developing and executing a supplier strategy -including supplier risk assessments and risk mitigation planning and driving business reviews and forecast updates with key suppliers (in close collaboration with Procurement)
  • Manage intercompany materials supply in support of SAC CDMO production
  • Develop a cross functional process to ensure timely and accurate flow of information from order entry to customer delivery including interface with Customer Excellence regarding delivery dates (in close alignment with Global LSS Operations function)
  • Translating Long Range Forecast into a 5-year supply plan by modality, in support of capacity analysis and risk assessment
  • Develop and implement Key Process Indicators to measure performance (in close alignment with Global LSS Operations function)
  • Chair monthly S&OP process meeting with key stakeholders from Sites, SAC business functions and LSS Global functions
  • Drive innovation and advancement in SCM to reduce risks, increase client satisfaction, and to increase margins
Strategic Impact
  • Translate modality strategies into a robust supply chain models which can deliver predictability and reliability for customers
  • Develop strategy roadmap for Supply Chain in SAC in close partnership with the L3 leads in Business, Operations (both within SAC and also LSS). This strategy should recognize the plans to double the SAC revenue in the next five years

Who you are
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, CDMO Project Management or related/equivalent field. Advance degree preferred
    10+ years of experience within Supply Chain or Operations.
  • A deep knowledge of the CDMO / Services business would also be desirable
  • Previous consultancy management, Project Management or business transformation experience is an advantage
  • Strong cross-functional communication abilities across both Operations and Business communities, as well as customers
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, drive to succeed, motivator of people
  • Ability to influence without authority across the matrix in LSS, Quality, Commercial and Business to deliver maximize service and robust solutions
  • Support the evolution of the planning system and tools from rudimentary MS excel into dynamic and agile built for purpose planning tools
  • Lead the change management and adoption of new tools and processes through disciplined adherence to standardized approaches
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize recommendations based on large data sets
  • Strong business acumen, proven skills in structured problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Strong customer (internal and external) and supplier facing presentation abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Up to 20% travel required internationally
  • This role is for residence only and can be placed in Darmstadt, Germany or Burlington, USA.
